Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will look to tempt Bayern Munich star David Alaba to the Emirates with the promise of handing him a central midfield role.
The Gunners boss has targeted the versatile 20-year-old who was one of the stars of Munich’s treble-winning side last season.
Despite having a fine season the Austrian was left frustrated by Munich’s insistence that he played at left-back rather than his favoured midfield slot.

Alaba is due to sit down with his bosses at Munich and discuss a new contract however, should he fail to get the assurances he wants over his future playing position then he could be tempted to try his luck in the Premier League.
Munich have no interest in selling their young star but may be tempted to do a deal should Arsenal include defender Laurent Koscielny in the negotiations.
Koscielny has recently stated that he will leave the Emirates should the Gunners continue to miss out on silverware.
